MARYLAND RATE ADJUSTMENT ARLIC Medicare Supplement American Retirement Life Insurance Company (ARLIC) will implement an 8% rate increase for Medicare Supplement Plans A, F, G and N in Maryland on August 14, 2014. The effective rates on the sign date of the application should be used, regardless of the requested effective date of the policy. For example, new rates will go into effect on 8/14/14 and you have an application signed on 8/13/14 with a policy effective date of 9/1/14. The rates that are in effect on 8/13/14 should be used–not the rates that will go into effect 8/14/14.
